DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the combination meter assembly detects a short in a turn signal light circuit.

HINT:

If there is a short in a turn signal light circuit, the turn signal lights on the side with the short circuit will blink faster than usual.

33.CHECK REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH)

Remove the rear combination light assembly RH.

Click hereVehicle Exterior>LIGHTING (EXT)>REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for GTMC Made)>REMOVAL


b.

Remove the rear combination light assembly LH.

Click hereVehicle Exterior>LIGHTING (EXT)>REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for GTMC Made)>REMOVAL


c.

Interchange the rear combination light assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.


d.

Check the rear turn signal light (RH side) operates normally.

NOTICE:

If the rear turn signal light (RH side) operates normally, return the rear combination light assembly RH and rear combination light assembly LH that were interchanged in a previous step back to their original conditions so that a component of the rear combination light assembly RH can be inspected in the next step.

34.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SIDE AND REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT (RH SIDE) - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)
a.

Disconnect the K9*1 or K10*2 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.

*1: w/ Retractor Mirror

*2: w/o Retractor Mirror



b.

Disconnect the O104 rear combination light assembly RH connector.


c.

Disconnect the I5 combination meter assembly connector.


d.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
K9-8 (B)*1, K10-5 (B)*2, O104-3 (B) or I5-21 (TRNR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher


*1: w/ Retractor Mirror

*2: w/o Retractor Mirror

a.

Remove the side turn signal light assembly RH from the outer rear view mirror assembly RH.

b.

Remove the side turn signal light assembly LH from the outer rear view mirror assembly LH.

Click hereVehicle Exterior>LIGHTING (EXT)>SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY>REMOVAL


c.

Interchange the side turn signal light assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.


d.

Check the side turn signal light (RH side) operates normally.
