In the PCV system for a turbocharged engine, the blow-by gas is drawn into the intake pipe due to the intake vacuum via the PCV valve in the natural aspiration range, and blow-by gas forcibly flows through the intake pipe via the ejector to recirculate blow-by in all driving ranges in the turbocharged intake range.

The ECM monitors for PCV system air leakage and suction.
If the ratio of the intake air volume calculated from the output of the mass air flow meter sub-assembly divided by that calculated from the output of the No. 2 turbo pressure sensor while the vehicle is being driven in the turbocharged intake range to the same when the vehicle is being driven in the natural aspiration range exceeds a threshold, the ECM will illuminate the MIL and store a DTC. After repair has been completed, clear the DTC and then check that the vehicle has returned to normal by performing the following All Readiness check procedure.
When clearing the permanent DTCs, refer to the "CLEAR PERMANENT DTC" procedure.
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).
Turn the ignition switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
Start the engine and warm it up until the engine coolant temperature reaches 75°C (167°F) or higher with all the accessories switched off [A].
Accelerate the vehicle to 50 km/h (31 mph) or more for 5 seconds or more [B].
When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.
Accelerate the vehicle from 50 to 80 km/h (31 to 50 mph) for 5 seconds or more [C].
When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.
Accelerate with a constant accelerator pedal opening angle.
Drive the vehicle at 80 km/h (50 mph) or more for 5 seconds or more [D].
When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.
Allow the vehicle to decelerate until the vehicle speed decreases to 50 km/h (31 mph) for 5 seconds or more [E].
Repeat steps [B] through [E] 2 times or more.
Accelerate the vehicle to 50 km/h (31 mph) or more for 5 seconds or more [F].
When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.
Accelerate the vehicle from 50 to 100 km/h (31 to 62 mph) for 5 seconds or more [G].
When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.
Accelerate with a constant accelerator pedal opening angle.
Drive the vehicle at 100 km/h (62 mph) or more for 5 seconds or more [H].
When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.
Allow the vehicle to decelerate until the vehicle speed decreases to 50 km/h (31 mph) for 5 seconds or more [I].
Repeat steps [F] through [I] 4 times or more.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes [J].
Read the pending DTCs.
If a pending DTC is output, the system is malfunctioning.
If a pending DTC is not output, perform the following procedure.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Utility / All Readiness.
Input the DTC: P04DB00.
Check the DTC judgment result.

If the judgment result shows NORMAL, the system is normal.
If the judgment result shows ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.
If the judgment result shows INCOMPLETE, perform steps [B] through [J] again.
[A] to [J]: Normal judgment procedure.
The normal judgment procedure is used to complete DTC judgment and also used when clearing permanent DTCs.
When clearing the permanent DTCs, do not disconnect the cable from the battery terminal or attempt to clear the DTCs during this procedure, as doing so will clear the universal trip and normal judgment histories.
Refer to DTC P010012 for the mass air flow meter sub-assembly circuit.
Read Freeze Frame Data using the GTS. The ECM records vehicle and driving condition information as Freeze Frame Data the moment a DTC is stored. When troubleshooting, Freeze Frame Data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
