INSPECT CLUTCH FLUID
Inspect the clutch fluid.
LUBRICATE CLUTCH RELEASE FORK
Lubricate the clutch release fork by referring to the lubrication chart.
INSPECT POWER STEERING FLUID
Inspect the power steering fluid.
for 1GD-FTV (w/ Variable Flow Control Solenoid Valve):
for 1GD-FTV (w/o Variable Flow Control Solenoid Valve):
INSPECT STEERING LINKAGE AND GEAR BOX
Check the steering wheel free play.
Check the steering linkage for looseness or damage.
Check that the tie rod ends do not have any play.
Check that the dust seals and boots are not damaged.
Check that the boot clamps are not loose.
Check that the steering gear housing is not damaged.
Check that the connectors are properly connected to the steering gear housing.
LUBRICATE PROPELLER SHAFT AND TIGHTEN BOLTS
Lubricate the propeller shaft by referring to the lubrication chart. Before pumping in grease, wipe off any mud and dust on the grease fitting.
Tighten the bolts for propeller shaft.
INSPECT SUSPENSION BALL JOINT AND DUST COVER
Inspect the ball joints for excessive looseness.
Jack up the front of the vehicle and place wooden blocks with a height of 180 to 200 mm (7.09 to 7.87 in.) under the front tires.
Lower the vehicle until the front coil spring has about half its ordinary load. Place stands under the vehicle for safety.
Check that the front wheels are pointing straight ahead. Use wheel chocks on all 4 wheels.
Using a lever, pry up the end of the lower arm. Check the amount of play.
0 mm (0 in.)
If there is any play, replace the ball joint.
Check the dust cover for damage.
INSPECT MANUAL TRANSMISSION OIL
Visually check the transmission for fluid leaks. If fluid is leaking, find the cause and repair it.
Inspect the manual transmission oil.
REPLACE MANUAL TRANSMISSION OIL
Replace the manual transmission oil.
INSPECT AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID
Visually check the transmission for fluid leaks. If fluid is leaking, find the cause and repair it.
REPLACE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID
Replace the automatic transmission fluid.
INSPECT AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID COOLER HOSE AND CONNECTIONS
for 7GR-FKS:
Inspect the automatic transaxle fluid cooler hoses (No. 1 oil cooler inlet hose*, No. 1 oil cooler outlet hose*, No. 1 oil cooler hose, No. 2 oil cooler hose) for cracks, leakage, loose connections and deformation.

for 1GD-FTV:
Inspect the automatic transaxle fluid cooler hoses (No. 1 oil cooler inlet hose, No. 1 oil cooler outlet hose and oil cooler tube with oil cooler hose) for cracks, leakage, loose connections and deformation.
INSPECT REAR DIFFERENTIAL OIL
Inspect the rear differential oil.
REPLACE REAR DIFFERENTIAL OIL
Replace the rear differential oil.
INSPECT FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION
Inspect the front and rear suspension.
