1.DRAIN DIFFERENTIAL OIL
Stop the vehicle on a level surface.
Remove the rear axle housing filler plug and gasket.
Remove the rear axle housing drain plug and gasket to drain the differential oil.
As the differential oil may be hot after driving, make sure that the differential is sufficiently cool before starting work.
Install a new gasket and the rear axle housing drain plug.
2.ADD DIFFERENTIAL OIL
Add differential oil until the specified oil level.
Toyota genuine differential gear oil LT 75W-85 GL-5 or equivalent

Add the differential oil in small quantities every few minutes.
Too much or too little oil will lead to differential problems.

Check that the oil level is between 0 to 5 mm (0 to 0.197 in.) from the bottom lip of the differential filler plug hole.
Inspect for oil leaks if the oil level is low.
Install a new gasket and the rear axle housing filler plug.
After changing the oil, drive the vehicle and then check the oil level again.
