When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the systems is used.

Hide 84234 1.REMOVE REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the "TORX" screw and rear door courtesy light switch assembly.

Disconnect the connector.

NOTICE:
·

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

If the pretensioner has been deployed, replace any damaged parts as necessary.

HINT:

Perform this procedure only when replacing the courtesy light wire.


a.

Operate the rear power seat switch and move the ottoman to the uppermost position and seatback to the frontmost position.


b.

Disconnet the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.


CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

·

If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
