After turning the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.
·When replacing the battery, use a new battery of the same dimensions with a capacity of 70 Ah or more at a 20-hour rate.

2.REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE COVER

Turn the 2 knobs right to release the lock and remove the door scuff plate cover.

3.REMOVE FRONT BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

Place your hands as shown and pull toward the outer side to remove the front battery service hole cover sub-assembly LH.
4.DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
·If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
Loosen the nut, and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

5.REMOVE OUTSIDE DOOR SCUFF PLATE
Insert a screwdriver into the gap, detach the claw and remove the 2 outside door scuff plates.

6.REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
Remove the 6 bolts.
Detach the 2 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH.

7.REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the 5 bolts.

Hold the top part of the battery service hole cover sub-assembly LH and tilt it toward the outer side.

Lift it further up and remove the battery service hole cover sub-assembly LH.

8.REMOVE BATTERY
Open the connector cover.
Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) battery terminal.
Remove the 2 bolts and battery clamp.

Slide the battery to the outer side.

Remove in this Direction |
Lift the battery and remove it from the vehicle.
