While pushing the fuel tank filler pipe shield assembly into the vehicle, disconnect the fuel tank filler pipe shield assembly from the No. 3 fuel tank filler pipe shield as shown in the illustration.

Using a 4 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the 7 screws.

Remove in this Direction

Pull the No. 3 fuel tank filler pipe shield in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration and remove it together with the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly.

HINT:: Pull the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly out of the vehicle.

Detach the claw and remove the 7 grommets.

Detach the clamp and remove the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly from the fuel filler opening lid lock sub-assembly.

HINT:: Perform this procedure only when replacement of the fuel filler opening lid lock sub-assembly is necessary.

Remove the nut and fuel filler opening lid lock sub-assembly.
