The side collision sensor RH circuit consists of the airbag sensor assembly, No. 1 side airbag sensor RH and rear floor side airbag sensor.
The rear floor side airbag sensor detects impacts to the vehicle and sends signals to the airbag sensor assembly to determine if the SRS should be deployed.
These DTCs are stored when a malfunction is detected in the circuit for the side collision sensor RH circuit.
| DTC No. | Detection Item | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area | Warning Indicate | Test Mode / Check Mode |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| B1676 | Lost Communication with Rear Floor Airbag Sensor RH | One of the following conditions is met:
·
The airbag sensor assembly detects a line short circuit signal, open circuit signal, short circuit to ground signal or short circuit to B+ signal in the circuit for the side collision sensor RH for 2 seconds. ·
A rear floor side airbag sensor malfunction. ·

After the engine switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.
When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery
When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.
After replacing the airbag sensor assembly, refer to initialization.
Turn the engine switch off.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
Check that the connectors are properly connected to the No. 1 side airbag sensor RH and rear floor side airbag sensor.
