SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS AIRBAG SYSTEM(for Type C) B1642 Side Satellite Sensor Bus Lost Communication (RH) B1643 Side Satellite Sensor Bus Initialization Error (RH)

DESCRIPTION

The side collision sensor RH circuit consists of the airbag sensor assembly, No. 4 side airbag sensor RH, No. 2 side airbag sensor RH and No. 3 side airbag sensor RH.

The No. 4 side airbag sensor RH, No. 2 side airbag sensor RH and No. 3 side airbag sensor RH detect impacts to the vehicle and send signals to the airbag sensor assembly to determine if the SRS should be deployed.

These DTCs are stored when a malfunction is detected in the side collision sensor RH circuit.

Turn the engine switch on (IG).

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

Turn the engine switch off.

Using a service wire, connect terminals 25 (BBR+) and 26 (BBR-) of connector B.

NOTICE:: Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting a service wire.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NOTICE:: Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting a service wire.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
