When replacing the telematics transceiver, make sure to replace it with a new one.

Before replacing the telematics transceiver, refer to Service Bulletin.

Use the table below to help determine the cause of problem symptoms. If multiple suspected areas are listed, the potential causes of the symptoms are listed in order of probability in the "Suspected Area" column of the table. Check each symptom by checking the suspected areas in the order they are listed. Replace parts as necessary.

Inspect the fuses and relays related to this system before inspecting the suspected areas below.



Emergency Call Service Indicator Display Problem
Symptom Suspected Area Link
The indicator lights on the emergency call switch panel do not come on when the ignition switch is turned to ON Check that TOYOTA Connect contract and procedure to start the emergency call service have been completed successfully -
Illumination on the emergency call switch panel does not turn on Proceed to "Emergency Call Switch Illumination Circuit" Click here
The red indicator light on the emergency call switch panel comes on after the ignition switch is turned to ON The vehicle is outside the communication service area. Move the vehicle into a communication service area -
The red indicator light on the emergency call switch panel blinks after the ignition switch is turned to ON Check for DTCs Click here

Perform a manual maintenance check. If it does not complete normally, refer to the symptom "The TOYOTA Connect Center cannot be accessed even after a manual maintenance check is performed" -

The TOYOTA Connect Center cannot be accessed by pressing the emergency call switch Perform a manual maintenance check. If it does not complete normally, refer to the symptom "The TOYOTA Connect Center cannot be accessed even after a manual maintenance check is performed" -

Alarm Notification Function
