| *a | An Object Exceeding Weight Limit of Engine Lifter |
The engine assembly with transaxle is very heavy. Be sure to follow the procedure described in the repair manual, or the engine lifter may suddenly drop or the engine assembly with transaxle may fall off the engine lifter.
To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust manifold or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.
| *a | An Object Exceeding Weight Limit of Transmission Jack |
The continuously variable transaxle assembly is very heavy. Be sure to follow the procedure described in the repair manual, or the transmission jack may suddenly drop.
When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the auxiliary battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.

3.REMOVE TRANSFER CASE OIL SEAL
| *1 | Transfer Case Oil Seal |
Using SST, remove the transfer case oil seal from the transfer case.
Do not scratch the press-fitting surface of the transfer case oil seal.
Wear or damage to the front drive shaft oil seal RH on the transmission side will cause transfer oil leakage.
If it is worn or damaged, replace the front drive shaft oil seal RH.

4.INSTALL TRANSFER CASE OIL SEAL
Coat the lip of a new transfer case oil seal with MP grease.
| *1 | Transfer Case Oil Seal |
Using SST and a hammer, tap in the transfer case oil seal to the transfer assembly as shown in the illustration.
9.5 to 10.5 mm (0.375 to 0.413 in.)
Tap the transfer case oil seal uniformly so that the transfer case oil seal is straight.
Do not tap the transfer case oil seal in too far.
