TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING  TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM  C2198  Initialization Switch (for Test Mode DTC)  


DESCRIPTION

During test mode, when the tire pressure warning reset switch is on, the tire pressure warning light comes on and when the tire pressure warning reset switch is off, the tire pressure warning light blinks at 0.125 second intervals.

NOTICE:

When replacing the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver, read the transmitter IDs and number of the transmitters (4 or 5) stored in the old ECU using the GTS and write them down before removal.

·

It is necessary to perform initialization Suspension>TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING>TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM>INITIALIZATION after registration Suspension>TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING>TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM>REGISTRATION of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver if the ECU has been replaced.



PROCEDURE

1.INSPECT TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH
a.

Turn the ignition switch off.


b.

Remove the tire pressure warning reset switch.

c.

Inspect the tire pressure warning reset switch.

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING RESET SWITCH - TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER)
a.

Disconnect the N63 tire pressure warning reset switch connector.


b.

Disconnect the Z3*1 or Z30*2 tire pressure warning ECU and receiver connector.

*1: Non-Integration Type

*2: Integration Type



c.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
Non-Integration Type:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
Z3-3 (CLSW) - N63-1 Always Below 1 Ω
Z3-3 (CLSW) or N63-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
N63-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

Integration Type:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
Z30-3 (CLSW) - N63-1 Always Below 1 Ω
Z30-3 (CLSW) or N63-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
N63-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
