DOOR LOCK  POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM  All Doors LOCK/UNLOCK Functions do not Operate Via Door Key Cylinder  


DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives door key cylinder lock or unlock switch signals from the front door with motor lock assembly. The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) activates the door lock motor on each door according to these signals.

for LHD:

i.

Disconnect the R14 front door with motor lock assembly LH connector.


ii.

Disconnect the R4 front door with motor lock assembly RH connector.


iii.

Disconnect the N20 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.


iv.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
R14-9 (L) - N20-18 (L2) Always Below 1 Ω
R14-10 (UL) - N20-17 (UL3) Always Below 1 Ω
R14-7 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
R14-9 (L) or N20-18 (L2) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
R14-10 (UL) or N20-17 (UL3) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher




b.

for RHD:

i.

Disconnect the R4 front door with motor lock assembly RH connector.


ii.

Disconnect the R14 front door with motor lock assembly LH connector.


iii.

Disconnect the N20 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.


iv.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
R4-6 (L) - N20-18 (L2) Always Below 1 Ω
R4-5 (UL) - N20-17 (UL3) Always Below 1 Ω

ii.

Disconnect the R14 front door with motor lock assembly LH connector.


iii.

Disconnect the N20 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.


iv.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
