SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS  AIRBAG SYSTEM(for Type C)  B1633  Curtain Shield Airbag Sensor Initialization Error (RH)  


DESCRIPTION

The side collision sensor RH circuit consists of the airbag sensor assembly, No. 4 side airbag sensor RH, No. 2 side airbag sensor RH and No. 3 side airbag sensor RH.

The No. 2 side airbag sensor RH detects impacts to the vehicle and sends signals to the airbag sensor assembly to determine if the SRS should be deployed.

DTC B1633 are stored when a malfunction is detected in the circuit for the side collision sensor RH circuit.

Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

d.

Turn the engine switch off.


e.

Using a service wire, connect terminals 1 (BCR+) and 2 (BCR-) of connector B.

NOTICE:

Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting a service wire.



g.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
