Hide 2.DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL


CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

·

If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

Deployment Side


·

When storing the front curtain shield airbag assembly LH, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.

·

If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.



a.

Check that the ignition switch is off.


b.

Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

CAUTION:
·

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

·

If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.





d.

Remove the front curtain shield airbag assembly LH deployment portion in the following order.

i.

Using needle-nose pliers, remove the 2 pins from the roof side inner garnish clip.

Remove in this Direction - -



ii.

for Standard Roof:

Using 2 thin bladed screwdrivers, detach the claw and remove the 2 roof side inner garnish clips together with the front curtain shield airbag assembly LH deployment portion.


iii.

for High Roof:

Using 2 thin bladed screwdrivers, detach the claw and remove the clip and roof side inner garnish clip together with the front curtain shield airbag assembly LH deployment portion.


iv.

Detach the claw.



e.

Remove the front curtain shield airbag assembly LH inflator in the following order.

CAUTION:

The bolt must not be reused.

Remove the bolt and detach the hook to remove the front curtain shield airbag assembly LH strap.


ii.

Remove the bolt and rear side of the front curtain shield airbag assembly LH deployment portion.


iii.

Remove the 2 bolts.


iv.

Detach the hook to remove the front curtain shield airbag assembly LH inflator.



f.

When reusing the front curtain shield airbag assembly LH:

CAUTION:

Do not reuse the roof side inner garnish clip.
