SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS AIRBAG SYSTEM(for Type B) B1610 Front Airbag Sensor (RH)

DESCRIPTION

The front airbag sensor RH circuit consists of the airbag sensor assembly and front airbag sensor RH.

The front airbag sensor RH detects impacts to the vehicle and sends signals to the airbag sensor assembly to determine if the SRS should be deployed.

DTC B1610 is stored when a malfunction is detected in the front airbag sensor RH or airbag sensor assembly.

1.CHECK FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR RH

Turn the ignition switch off.

Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

Interchange the front airbag sensor RH with LH and connect the connectors to them.

Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

Turn the ignition switch off.

Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

Check for DTCs.

Turn the ignition switch off.

Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

Return the front airbag sensor LH and RH to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.

DTC B1610 is output
