When the ignition switch is ON, the power window regulator motor assembly RH (for LHD) or power window regulator motor assembly LH (for RHD) is operated by the power window regulator switch assembly. The power window regulator motor assembly RH (for LHD) or power window regulator motor assembly LH (for RHD) has motor, regulator and ECU functions.

The power window control system uses the LIN communication system. Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the power window control system after confirming that the communication system is functioning properly.
If the power window regulator motor assembly has been replaced with a new one, initialize the power window control system.
Check that the window lock switch is off before performing the following procedure.
Inspect the fuse for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.
Using the GTS, read the data for the condition when the power window regulator switch assembly was operated.

Disconnect the R6*1 or R16*2 power window regulator switch assembly connector.
Disconnect the R7*1 or R17*2 power window regulator motor assembly connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
