PROCEDURE

Hide 23250F 1.INSTALL PORT FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

HINT:

Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing a port fuel injector assembly.

a.

Apply a light coat of spindle oil or gasoline to 6 new O-rings, and install one to each port fuel injector assembly.

NOTICE:

Check that there is no damage or foreign matter on the groove of the port fuel injector assembly when installing the O-ring to each port fuel injector assembly.



b.

for Bank 1:

i.

Connect the 3 port fuel injector assembly connectors.

Install the 3 port fuel injector assemblies to the fuel delivery with sensor pipe assembly.

NOTICE:
·

Make sure that the port fuel injector assembly is located within the stopper as shown in the illustration.

·

Check that the port fuel injector assembly installation holes of the fuel delivery with sensor pipe assembly are not damaged and are free of foreign matter.

·

Make sure that the O-ring is not damaged, twisted or moved out of place when installing the port fuel injector assembly.




iii.

Attach the clamp to connect the No. 5 engine wire to the fuel delivery with sensor pipe assembly.



c.

for Bank 2:

i.

Connect the 3 port fuel injector assembly connectors.


ii.

Install the 3 port fuel injector assemblies to the fuel delivery with sensor pipe assembly.

NOTICE:
·

Make sure that the port fuel injector assembly is located within the stopper as shown in the illustration.

·

Check that the port fuel injector assembly installation holes of the fuel delivery with sensor pipe assembly are not damaged and are free of foreign matter.

·

Make sure that the O-ring is not damaged, twisted or moved out of place when installing the port fuel injector assembly.




iii.

Attach the clamp to connect the No. 5 engine wire to the fuel delivery with sensor pipe assembly.



Hide 23800 2.INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY WITH SENSOR PIPE ASSEMBLY

NOTICE:
·

Do not remove the fuel pressure sensor from the fuel delivery with sensor pipe assembly.

·

If a fuel pressure sensor is removed, replace the fuel delivery with sensor pipe assembly (fuel pressure sensor) with a new one.



a.

Install 6 new injector vibration insulators to the intake manifold.


b.

Install the 4 No. 1 delivery pipe spacers to the intake manifold.


c.

Install the fuel delivery with sensor pipe assembly (with port fuel injector assembly) to the intake manifold.

NOTICE:

Be careful not to drop the fuel injector assemblies when installing the fuel delivery with sensor pipe assembly.

Install the fuel injector assemblies to the fuel delivery pipe sub-assemblies with the 4 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

Torque:
17 N*m (173 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf)


e.

Connect the No. 1 fuel tube sub-assembly to the fuel delivery with sensor pipe assembly.

Connect the 3 connectors.
