HINT:

When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.

PROCEDURE

Hide 16032 4.REMOVE ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY (WATER INLET HOUSING)

a.

Disconnect the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly connector.

Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 7 water by-pass hose from the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

NOTICE:
·

Do not apply force to the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly when disconnecting the No. 7 water by-pass hose.

·

Do not damage the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.



HINT:

When disconnecting the No. 7 water by-pass hose, slide the clip, rotate the hose and pull it straight off the pipe.

Disconnect the sensor wire connector.

Disconnect the engine water pump assembly (water inlet housing) connector.

Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the bolt and disconnect the sensor wire from the engine water pump assembly (water inlet housing).

Remove the 4 bolts and engine water pump assembly (water inlet housing) from the cylinder block assembly.

Using an 8 mm socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts and water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

Remove the gasket from the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

Remove the gasket from the engine water pump assembly (water inlet housing).


j.

Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the stud bolt.
