The fuel tank assembly is very heavy. Be sure to follow the procedure described in the repair manual, or the fuel tank assembly may fall off the engine lifter.



HINT:

When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.

Hide 58166A 5.REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH

Remove the 3 clips, 2 bolts and 5 screws.

Turn the 3 clips and remove the front floor cover LH from the vehicle body.

NOTICE:

If the 3 clips are not turned when the front floor cover LH is removed, the front floor cover LH or stud bolt may be damaged.


HINT:

Do not remove the clips from the front floor cover LH.

Remove the 3 clips and 2 bolts.

Turn the 4 clips and remove the No. 2 floor under cover from the vehicle body.

NOTICE:

If the 4 clips are not turned when the No. 2 floor under cover is removed, the No. 2 floor under cover or stud bolt may be damaged.


HINT:

Do not remove the clips from the No. 2 floor under cover.

CAUTION:

The fuel tank assembly is very heavy. Be sure to follow the procedure described in the repair manual, or the fuel tank assembly may fall off the engine lifter.

Support the fuel tank assembly using an engine lifter.

HINT:

Using height adjustment attachments and plate lift attachments, keep the fuel tank assembly horizontal.

Remove the 4 bolts and 2 fuel tank band sub-assemblies.


c.

Lower the engine lifter to remove the fuel tank assembly.

NOTICE:
·

Be careful not to drop the fuel tank assembly.

·

When removing the fuel tank assembly, tilt it slightly to prevent it from interfering with the surrounding parts.
