CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during camshaft position sensor removal/installation are shown below.

HINT:

When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.

PROCEDURE

Hide 1.REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Intake Side)

Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector.


b.

Remove the bolt and camshaft position sensor from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

NOTICE:

If the camshaft position sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.



Hide 7.REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Exhaust Side)

Remove the bolt and disconnect the inlet No. 1 air duct sub-assembly from the fuel pump protector.


b.

Remove the 2 bolts and separate the fuel vapor feed pipe from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.


c.

Disconnect the sensor wire connector.

Remove the bolt and camshaft position sensor from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

NOTICE:

If the camshaft position sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector to remove the camshaft position sensor from the sensor wire.
