Confirm problem symptoms
Check the functions for which the problem symptoms occur. (Navigation function, audio function etc.)
If the malfunction occurs for radio, there is a high chance of the malfunction being caused by external factors.
If the malfunction occurs depending on the location, consider transmission lines, overhead wires, neon signs, trucks or motorcycles, wireless transmissions from vehicles, buildings, etc., as the cause.
If the malfunction occurs depending on the channel (broadcast station), consider excessively strong radio waves, excessively weak radio waves, poor quality signal, unstable signal, etc., as the cause.

Check that condensation is not likely to occur in the cabin and that the temperature is not -20°C (-4°F) or lower, or 65°C (149°F) or higher.
A humid cabin and a rapid change in temperature may lead to condensation. Condensation in the cabin may cause a short circuit.
The navigation system may not operate normally when the temperature is -20°C (-4°F) or lower, or 65°C (149°F) or higher.

Using the GTS, check for DTCs.
Check for DTCs.
Record the results of any DTCs (latest/confirmed)
Check the freeze frame data for both latest DTCs and confirmed DTCs.
If freeze frame data is stored, a snow icon is displayed to the left.

Clear the DTCs.
Recheck for DTCs.
