The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the front seat cushion pad (occupant detection sensor) removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE

Hide 2.DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)


CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

·

If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

Detach the band as shown in the illustration.

Using a thin-bladed screwdriver, detach the hook and remove the front seat cushion cover sub-assembly RH from the front seat cushion pad RH (occupant detection sensor) as shown in the illustration.
