The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the front seat assembly removal/installation are shown below.

When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the systems is used.

PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
·

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

If the front seat airbag assembly has been deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, front seatback frame sub-assembly, separate type front seatback pad and separate type front seatback cover with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

·

Replace any other damaged parts as necessary.



Hide 2.DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

·

If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

Remove the front seat headrest assembly LH.

Remove in this Direction


Place your hands at the position and pull in the removal direction shown in the illustration and detach the claw and clip and remove the front seat rear leg cover LH.


Hide 5.REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH


b.

Disconnect each connector under the front seat assembly LH.


c.

Operate the seat track adjusting handle LH to move the front seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.

Remove the 2 bolts.


e.

Operate the seat track adjusting handle LH and move the front seat assembly LH to the frontmost position.

Remove the 2 bolts.


g.

Operate the reclining adjuster release handle LH and move the seatback to the upright position.


h.

Operate the seat track adjusting handle LH and move the front seat assembly LH to the center position.


i.

Remove the front seat assembly LH.

NOTICE:
·

2 or more people are required when carrying the front seat assembly LH out of the vehicle.

·

Protect the front seat legs.

·

Be careful not to damage the front seat assembly LH, body exterior or interior parts.
