The engine assembly with transmission is very heavy. Be sure to follow the procedure described in the repair manual, or the engine lifter may suddenly drop or the engine assembly may fall off the engine lifter.

Remove the 8 bolts, rear drive plate spacer, drive plate and ring gear sub-assembly and No. 1 crankshaft position sensor plate.

Using a knife, cut off the lip of the rear crankshaft oil seal.

Using a screwdriver, pry out the rear crankshaft oil seal.

NOTICE:

Do not damage the surface of the rear crankshaft oil seal press fit hole or crankshaft.


HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
