SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS AIRBAG SYSTEM(for Type C) B167A Front Door Pressure Sensor LH B167E Front Door Pressure Sensor Threshold Malfunction (LH)

DESCRIPTION

The side collision sensor LH circuit consists of the airbag sensor assembly and side airbag pressure sensor LH.

The side airbag pressure sensor LH detects impacts to the vehicle and sends signals to the airbag sensor assembly to determine if the SRS should be deployed.

These DTCs are stored when a malfunction is detected in the side airbag pressure sensor LH or airbag sensor assembly.

1.CHECK SIDE AIRBAG PRESSURE SENSOR LH

Turn the engine switch off.

Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

Interchange the side airbag pressure sensor LH with RH and connect the connectors to them.

Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

Turn the engine switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.

Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

Turn the engine switch off.

Turn the engine switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.

Check for DTCs.

Turn the engine switch off.

Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

Return the side airbag pressure sensor RH and LH to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.

DTC B167A or B167E is output
