DESCRIPTION

The windshield wiper relay assembly controls the windshield wiper motor assembly through this circuit.

PROCEDURE

1.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (FRONT WIPER OPERATION)
a.

Connect the GTS to the DLC3.


b.

Turn the ignition switch to ON.


c.

Turn the GTS on.


d.

Enter following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.


e.

Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

a.

Disconnect the N67 and N68 windshield wiper relay assembly connectors.


b.

Disconnect the A18 windshield wiper motor assembly connector.


c.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
for LHD
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
N67-2 (+1) - A18-1 (+1) Always Below 1 Ω
N67-4 (+2) - A18-4 (+2) Always Below 1 Ω
N68-6 (+SM) - A18-3 (+S) Always Below 1 Ω
N67-2 (+1) or A18-1 (+1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
N67-4 (+2) or A18-4 (+2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
N68-6 (+SM) or A18-3 (+S) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher


for RHD
