WIPER / WASHER WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM B2357 Lost Communication with Wiper Module
DESCRIPTION
The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and windshield wiper relay assembly communicate via CXPI communication. The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) stores this DTC if communication becomes abnormal.

Inspect the fuse of circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.
·If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to the Service Bulletin.
PROCEDURE
Disconnect the N68 windshield wiper relay assembly connector.
Disconnect the N20 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition N68-4 (MPX1) - N20-5 (CXP1) Always Below 1 Ω N68-4 (MPX1) or N20-5 (CXP1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

Proceed to OK NG

Disconnect the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
Measure the voltage and pulses according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Voltage:

Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.
Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

Remove the windshield wiper relay (WIP MAIN) from the No. 1 engine room relay block assembly.
Inspect the windshield wiper relay (WIP MAIN).

Remove the windshield wiper relay (WIP MAIN) from the No. 1 engine room relay block assembly.
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Voltage:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Windshield wiper relay (WIP MAIN) terminal 3 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

Disconnect the N67 windshield wiper relay assembly connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
