WINDOW / GLASS  POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM(Production Date from 2023/04)  Auto Down Operation does not Fully Open Power Window (Catch Protection Function is Activated)  


DESCRIPTION

If a door glass does not slide smoothly or a power window regulator motor assembly or door window regulator sub-assembly does not operate smoothly, the catch protection function may be triggered automatically, resulting in the auto down operation being unable to fully open the power window.

If a power window regulator motor assembly has been replaced with a new one, initialize the power window control system.

If a power window regulator motor assembly and door window regulator sub-assembly have been removed and installed, or if a power window regulator motor assembly was reused when a door glass or door glass run was replaced, initialize the power window control system.

a.

Remove the bolt of the door glass and check that the door glass slides smoothly without being caught when it is moved up and down by hand.

NOTICE:
·

The door glass fits with the glass run without improper contact or deformation.

·

Foreign matter is not caught in the glass run.

·

The glass run is not misaligned.

·

The door belt moulding or door inner glass weatherstrip is not caught.

·

The glass is not tilted and does not catch.



OK:

The door glass slides smoothly without being caught when it is moved up and down by hand.

Operate the driver door switch of the multiplex network master switch assembly and check that the door window regulator with motor assembly (for Driver Door) operates smoothly.

Operates smoothly without being caught.




c.

Check operation (except Driver Door)

i.

Connect the power window regulator switch assembly or rear power window regulator switch assembly connector.


ii.

Turn the ignition switch to ON.


iii.

Operate the power window regulator switch assembly or rear power window regulator switch assembly and check that the door window regulator with motor assembly operates normally.

OK:

Operates smoothly without being caught.
