ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM  PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM  U041881  Invalid Data Received from Brake System Control Module Invalid Serial Data Received

DESCRIPTION

for HV Model:
·

The forward recognition camera receives signals from the No. 2 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) corresponding to the brake control status via the CAN communication line.

·

When a brake control system malfunction signal is received from the No. 2 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), the forward recognition camera outputs U041881.

for Gasoline Model:
·

The forward recognition camera receives signals from the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) corresponding to the brake control status via the CAN communication line.

·

When a brake control system malfunction signal is received from the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), the forward recognition camera outputs U041881.

DTC No. Detection Item DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area DTC Output from Priority

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:
·

When replacing the forward recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a forward recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

·

When the forward recognition camera is replaced with a new one or the windshield glass is replaced or removed/installed, make sure to read Before Starting Adjustment, then perform optical axis alignment for the forward recognition camera and clear the vehicle control history for each system.

HINT:

Forward recognition camera adjustment can be performed by using either One Time Recognition or Sequential Recognition. When clearing vehicle control history, refer to the following links:

One Time Recognition: Click hereADAS / AD>ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM>FRONT CAMERA>TARGET ADJUSTMENT(ONE TIME RECOGNITION)

Sequential Recognition: Click hereADAS / AD>ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM>FRONT CAMERA>TARGET ADJUSTMENT(SEQUENTIAL RECOGNITION)

Driving Adjustment: Click hereADAS / AD>ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEM>FRONT CAMERA>DRIVING ADJUSTMENT

·

When the forward recognition camera is replaced, update the ECU security key.

Click hereGeneral>SETUP>WHEN REPLACING OR REMOVING/INSTALLING PARTS>UPDATE ECU SECURITY KEY

PROCEDURE

1.CHECK ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM
a.

Check the DTCs.

Chassis > Brake/EPB > Trouble Codes
50001 435
Chassis > Brake Booster > Trouble Codes
50001 466
OK:

Electronically controlled brake system DTCs are not output.

HINT:

If U041881 is output in the pre-collision system, electronically controlled brake system DTCs may also have been output. Check the electronically controlled brake system first.
