NOTICE:

After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

HINT:

When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the auxiliary battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.

PROCEDURE

a.

When the toll collection ECU assembly or toll collection ECU seal tape is difficult to remove:

HINT:

When removing the toll collection ECU assembly or toll collection ECU seal tape, heat the toll collection ECU assembly, toll collection ECU seal tape or windshield glass using a hair dryer.


i.

Using a hair dryer, heat the toll collection ECU seal tape area.

CAUTION:
·

Do not touch the hair dryer or the heated portions of the components.

·

Touching the hair dryer could result in burns.

·

Touching the heated portions of the components and remaining in contact for a long time could result in burns.



NOTICE:

Do not heat the toll collection ECU assembly or toll collection ECU seal tape excessively.

Adhesive Tape


Remove the adhesive tape from the roof headlining assembly.


b.

Disconnect the connector and remove the toll collection ECU assembly.

a.

When reusing the toll collection ECU assembly:

i.

Remove the toll collection ECU seal tape from the toll collection ECU assembly.



Hide 86980 8.REMOVE TOLL COLLECTION ECU ASSEMBLY (except NR Series Engine)

Disengage the 4 claws to remove the cover.

Disconnect the connector.


c.

Remove the toll collection ECU assembly.

When reusing the toll collection ECU assembly:

Remove the toll collection ECU seal tape from the toll collection ECU assembly.
