When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.

Fully apply the parking brake and chock a wheel.
Make sure to apply the parking brake and chock a wheel before performing this procedure.
If the vehicle is not secure and the shift lever is moved to N, the vehicle may suddenly move, possibly resulting in an accident or serious injury.
2. PRECAUTION
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Move the shift lever to N.
Remove the nut and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission control shaft lever.
Remove the clip and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the No. 1 transmission control cable bracket.

14.REMOVE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the park/neutral position switch assembly connector.
Remove the nut, washer and transmission control shaft lever from the park/neutral position switch assembly.
Using a screwdriver, bend back the tabs of the lock plate.
Remove the lock nut and lock plate from the park/neutral position switch assembly.
Remove the 2 bolts and park/neutral position switch assembly from the continuously variable transaxle assembly.
