PROCEDURE

1.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE)
a.

Disconnect the I72 telematics transceiver connector.


b.

Disconnect the T6 map light assembly connector.


c.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
for 10.25 Inch Display
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
I72-3 (SIG-) - T6-19 (GND3) Always Below 1 Ω
I72-3 (SIG-) or T6-19 (GND3) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

except 10.25 Inch Display
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
I72-3 (SIG-) - T6-12 (GND3) Always Below 1 Ω
I72-3 (SIG-) or T6-12 (GND3) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher



d.

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:
for 10.25 Inch Display
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
T6-8 (RRID) - Body Ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

Connect a positive (+) lead from the batteries to terminal 8 (RRID), and a negative (-) lead to terminal 19 (GND3) of the map light assembly connector.
