Hide 58166A 2.REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH

Remove the 2 bolts and 3 clips and disengage the 6 clamps to remove the front floor cover LH from the vehicle body.


Hide 58165C 3.REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER RH

HINT:

Perform the same procedure as for the front floor cover LH.


Hide 57533B 4.REMOVE FRONT FLOOR CENTER BRACE

Remove the 12 bolts and 3 front floor center braces from the vehicle body.


Hide 17410 5.REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

CAUTION:

To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

Disengage the wire harness 2 clamps.

Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.

Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps.

Disconnect the No. 1 exhaust gas temperature sensor connector.

Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps.

Disconnect the No. 2 exhaust gas temperature sensor connector.

Remove the 4 bolts and 4 compression springs and disconnect the front exhaust pipe assembly from the exhaust manifold and tail exhaust pipe assembly.


h.

Remove the front exhaust pipe assembly from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.


i.

Remove the 2 gaskets from the exhaust manifold and front exhaust pipe assembly.

Remove the bolt and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the engine assembly.

Remove the nut and No. 1 vacuuum transmitting pipe bracket.

Using a 14 mm union nut wrench, remove the No. 1 vacuuum transmitting pipe sub-assembly.

Remove the exhaust manifold to head gasket and EGR cooler gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

Remove the 3 bolts and No. 2 exhaust manifold heat insulator from the exhaust manifold.
