DESCRIPTION

The hybrid vehicle control ECU communicates with the battery state sensor assembly via LIN communication. If a LIN communication error is detected, the hybrid vehicle control ECU stores this DTC.

Check that the battery state sensor assembly connector is securely connected.

The connector is securely connected.



b.

Disconnect the battery state sensor assembly connector.


c.

Check the connector case and terminals for deformation or corrosion.

OK:

No deformation or corrosion.

3.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - BATTERY STATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY)
a.

Disconnect the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.


b.

Disconnect the battery state sensor assembly connector.


c.

Disconnect the compressor with motor assembly connector.


d.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
A147-16 (LIN3) - A148-2 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω
A148-2 (LIN), A147-16 (LIN3) or C96-3 (DOUT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

Turn the power switch on (IG).

e.

Check for DTCs, and note down any DTCs that are output.
