HINT:

The engine assembly with transmission is very heavy. Be sure to follow the procedure described in the repair manual, or the engine lifter may suddenly drop or the engine assembly may fall off the engine lifter.

Slide the hose clamp and disconnect the heater water hose assembly from the rear water by-pass joint.


ii.

Slide the hose clamp and disconnect the heater water hose assembly from the No. 1 water outlet pipe.


iii.

Remove the bolt and remove the heater water hose assembly.



b.

w/ ATF Warmer:

i.

Slide the hose clamp and disconnect the heater water hose assembly from the rear water by-pass joint.


ii.

Remove the bolt and remove the heater water hose assembly.

Remove the 2 bolts and 2 No. 2 idler pulley sub-assemblies.


Hide 16620 13.REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY

While turning the V-ribbed belt tensioner counterclockwise, align the service hole for the V-ribbed belt tensioner and the V-ribbed belt tensioner fixing position, and then insert a bar of 6 mm (0.236 in.) into the service hole to fix the V-ribbed belt tensioner in place.

HINT:

The pulley bolt for the V-ribbed belt tensioner has a left-hand thread.

Remove the 2 bolts and V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly.
