Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.


PROCEDURE

1.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS
a.

Connect the GTS to the DLC3.


b.

Turn the ignition switch to ON.


c.

Turn the GTS on.


d.

Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.


e.

Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side) - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)

*1: for LHD

*2: for RHD


a.

Disconnect the e1 rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH connector.*1


b.

Disconnect the g1 rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly RH connector.*2


c.

Disconnect the 3D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.


d.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
for LHD:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
e1-2 (B) - 3D-21 Always Below 1 Ω
e1-2 (B) or 3D-21 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
e1-6 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

for RHD:

g1-2 (B) - 3D-21 Always Below 1 Ω
g1-2 (B) or 3D-21 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.


c.

Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3E-1*1 or 3G-1*2.

*1: for LHD

*2: for RHD



d.

Connect a negative (-) lead from the battery to terminal A-14 (TRLY) and A-27 (RFGO).


e.

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:
for LHD:

3D-21 - Battery negative (-) terminal Battery voltage is applied between following terminals
