The rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RL sensor) is installed on the rear bumper. The clearance warning ECU assembly detects obstacles based on signals received from the rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RL sensor). If the rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RL sensor) has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

If DTCs are output after repairs, turn the ignition switch to ON and the TOYOTA parking assist-sensor system on. Then clear the DTCs.
Remove the rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RL sensor).
Inspect the rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RL sensor).

Disconnect the f4 rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RL sensor) connector.
Disconnect the N48 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
