PARK ASSIST / MONITORING TOYOTA PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM C1AE6 Rear Left Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RL sensor) is installed on the rear bumper. The clearance warning ECU assembly detects obstacles based on signals received from the rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RL sensor). If the rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RL sensor) has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

PROCEDURE

1.INSPECT REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (RL SENSOR)

Remove the rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RL sensor).

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR [RL SENSOR] - CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY)

REPLACE REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (RL SENSOR)

2.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR [RL SENSOR] - CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY)

Disconnect the f4 rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RL sensor) connector.

Disconnect the N48 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
