Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1.INSTALL REAR AXLE SHAFT OIL SEAL LH
| *a | Depth |
Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new rear axle shaft oil seal LH.
-0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.)
Coat the lip of the rear axle shaft oil seal LH with MP grease.

2.INSTALL REAR AXLE BEARING CASE O-RING LH
Install a new rear axle bearing case O-ring LH to the rear axle housing.
3.INSTALL REAR AXLE SHAFT WITH BACKING PLATE
| *a | Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length |
Install the rear axle shaft with backing plate with the 4 nuts.
Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.
When using SST (fulcrum length of 200 mm (7.874 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 255 mm (10.039 in.)): 33.6 N*m (343 kgf*cm, 25 ft.*lbf)
89545
4.CONNECT REAR SPEED SENSOR
Connect the rear speed sensor to the rear axle housing with the bolt.
46430
5.CONNECT NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
Connect the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly with the 2 bolts.
6.CONNECT BRAKE TUBE
| *1 | Union Nut Wrench |
| *a | Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length |
Using a union nut wrench, connect the rear brake tube to the rear axle shaft with backing plate.
Do not kink or damage the brake line.
Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake line from the connecting parts.
Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.
When using a union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 22 mm (0.866 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 162 mm (6.378 in.)): 13.4 N*m (137 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf)
Install the brake tube bolt.
7.INSTALL REAR BRAKE
8.BLEED BRAKE LINE
9.ADJUST PARKING BRAKE
10.INSTALL REAR WHEEL
11.CHECK SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
