The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the tilt roof glass sub-assembly removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE

Hide 1.DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Airbag System)


CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

·

If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.



Hide 63201C 3.REMOVE TILT ROOF GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY

NOTICE:
·

Be sure to replace the tilt roof glass sub-assembly with a new one.

·

When separating the tilt roof glass sub-assembly, be careful not to damage the paint or interior and exterior ornaments.

Pass a piano wire between the vehicle body and tilt roof glass sub-assembly from the interior.


d.

Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.


e.

Cut off the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the tilt roof glass sub-assembly.


f.

Install the suction cups to the tilt roof glass sub-assembly.


g.

Using suction cups, detach the clip and remove the tilt roof glass sub-assembly.
