This procedure is for troubleshooting when the brake system warning light (yellow indicator) remains on but no DTCs are output.
The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) controls the brake system warning light (yellow indicator) in the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.
The electric parking brake may still operate up to 4 minutes after the ignition switch is turned off. Before disconnecting connectors or fuses, turn the ignition switch off and wait 4 minutes or more.
After replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), perform acceleration sensor zero point calibration and store system information memorization.
When replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), operate the electric parking brake switch (electric parking brake switch assembly) as the parking brake indicator light (red) blinks when the ignition switch is first turned ON.
Using the GTS, check for Vehicle Control History (RoB).
