The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during side No. 1 airbag sensor removal/installation are shown below.
After the ignition switch is turned off, the radio and display receiver assembly records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch off, make sure to wait at least 120 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
When the cable is disconected / reconnected to the auxiliary battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.

Check that the ignition switch is off.
Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
Disconnect the airbag connector.
When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
Refer to How to Connect or Disconnect Airbag Connector:
Remove the bolt.
Loosen the bolt while holding the side No. 1 airbag sensor because the side No. 1 airbag sensor guide is easily damaged.
Disengage the claw to remove the side No. 1 airbag sensor.
If the side No. 1 airbag sensor has been dropped, replace it with a new one.
