DESCRIPTION

If the face ID registration does not complete, the cabin object recognition camera may be dirty or defective, or the combination meter assembly may be malfunctioning.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:
·

When replacing the combination meter assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a combination meter assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in it will not match the information from the vehicle and a DTC may be stored.

·

Depending on the conditions of the cabin object recognition camera, the environmental conditions of the vehicle interior, the background, etc., face ID registration/face recognition may not complete successfully. Refer to Precaution When Performing Face Recognition before performing face ID registration/face recognition.

Wipe clean the cabin object recognition camera.

NOTICE:

Before wiping clean the cabin object recognition camera, refer to PRECAUTION FOR CABIN OBJECT RECOGNITION CAMERA.

b.

Have the customer perform face ID registration again.

Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.


c.

Have somebody other than the customer perform face ID registration.
