DESCRIPTION

The air conditioning particulate matter sensor (air conditioning duct sub-assembly) communicates with the air conditioning amplifier assembly via LIN communication.

If the air conditioning amplifier assembly cannot receive a signal from the air conditioning particulate matter sensor (air conditioning duct sub-assembly), this DTC is stored.

PROCEDURE

1.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING PARTICULATE MATTER SENSOR (AIR CONDITIONING DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY) - IG POWER SOURCE AND BODY GROUND)
a.

Disconnect the E169 air conditioning particulate matter sensor (air conditioning duct sub-assembly) connector.


b.

Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

a.

Disconnect the E44 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.


b.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

a.

Connect the E44 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.


b.

Turn the ignition switch to ON.


c.

Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform.

OK:

A waveform is displayed.
