PROCEDURE

1.CHECK FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR LH

*1 Front Airbag Sensor RH
*2 Airbag ECU Assembly
*3 Wire Harness


Turn the ignition switch off.


b.

Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.


c.

Interchange the front airbag sensor LH with RH and connect the connectors.


d.

Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.


e.

Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.


f.

Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs

g.

Turn the ignition switch off.


h.

Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.


i.

Check for DTCs.

Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes
50001 444

Proceed to
DTC B009085 is output
DTC B009585 is output
DTC B009085 and B009585 are not output


HINT:

Codes other than DTC B009085 and B009585 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.



j.

Turn the ignition switch off.


k.

Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, and wait for at least 60 seconds.


l.

Return the front airbag sensor RH and LH to their original positions and connect the connectors to them.
