If the cooling air is poor (cooling air is discharged), the following causes are possible.
| Malfunction Status | Factor |
|---|---|
·
Cooling is poor. ·
Takes time to cool down. |
·
ECO drive mode function (air flow volume is restricted due to ECO drive mode being selected) ·
Compressor with motor assembly malfunction ·
Excessive refrigerant ·
Lack of refrigerant gas ·
Dirty cooler condenser ·
Cooling fan system malfunction ·
Air mix damper and link operation (jamming) ·
Automatic light control sensor (for Automatic Air Conditioning System) ·
Warm air flow |
Confirm setup of the ECO drive mode and turn it off if it is on.
When ECO drive mode is on, the air conditioning amplifier assembly ensures a minimum level of air conditioning control based on certain conditions, thereby contributing to improved fuel efficiency. Accordingly, explain to customers that the air volume will be weaker in these situations.
| Control | Control Summary |
|---|---|
| Airflow Control | Automatically switches the air inlet port to the internal air circulation mode when the outside air temperature is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature and reduces the power consumption. |
| Air Inlet Control | Sets the blower level in AUTO mode lower than normal, and suppresses the power consumption. |
If integration control and panel assembly (ECO switch) is malfunctioning, perform diagnosis on the ECO switch circuit.

When the GTS is operated without the check conditions satisfied, "Refrigerant incorrect" is displayed. Select "Yes" to return to the previous screen.
Refer to the GTS operator's manual for further details.
A message indicating a refrigerant shortage is displayed on the GTS and the air conditioning system turns off if the amount of refrigerant in the system is insufficient.
DTCs are not stored when performing the refrigerant shortage check using the GTS.
*1: This inspection can be judged correctly only if the ambient temperature is within a range of 0 to 49°C (32 to 120°F). Therefore, postpone the test if the temperature is low.
*2: This inspection can be judged correctly only if the air inlet temperature is within a range of 25 to 35°C (77 to 95°F). Therefore, postpone the test if the temperature is out of range.
According to the GTS display, perform refrigerant gas volume check.
