DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when an open circuit or short occurs in the communication line between a rear center ultrasonic sensor (RLC sensor) and the rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RL sensor), or when a malfunction occurs in a rear center ultrasonic sensor (RLC sensor) on the rear.

a.

Disconnect the Q30 rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RL sensor) connector.


b.

Disconnect the Q29 rear center ultrasonic sensor (RLC sensor) connector.


c.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
Q30-6 (BO) - Q29-5 (BI) Always Below 1 Ω
Q30-1 (SO) - Q29-4 (SI) Always Below 1 Ω
Q30-3 (EO) - Q29-2 (EI) Always Below 1 Ω

Q30-1 (SO) or Q29-4 (SI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

Replace the rear center ultrasonic sensor (RLC sensor) with a known good one.

All of the sensors are interchangeable. To confirm whether a sensor is functioning normally, switch it with a known good sensor from the other end of the vehicle.
