DESCRIPTION

If the telematics transceiver detects an error in the communication between the telematics transceiver and the map light sub-assembly (emergency call switch) as a result of the telematics transceiver self check, this DTC will be stored.

PROCEDURE

1.CHECK DTC OUTPUT
a.

Clear the DTCs.

b.

Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 10 seconds or more.


c.

Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

3.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - MAP LIGHT SUB-ASSEMBLY [EMERGENCY CALL SWITCH])
a.

Disconnect the G131 telematics transceiver connector.


b.

Disconnect the P24 map light sub-assembly (emergency call switch) connector.


c.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
G131-21 (SIG1) - P24-22 (SIG1) Always Below 1 Ω
G131-21 (SIG1) or P24-22 (SIG1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
G131-3 (SIG-) - P24-14 (GND3) Always Below 1 Ω
G131-3 (SIG-) or P24-14 (GND3) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
