This DTC is stored when the telematics transceiver detects an open or short in the emergency call switch indicator (green) circuit of the emergency call switch.
The emergency call switch indicator (green) illuminates for 5 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to ON.
If the telematics system is not active, the emergency call switch indicator (green) will turn off.
If the telematics system is active, the emergency call switch indicator (green) will blink while communicating with the call center.

Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for Telematics System.
When replacing the telematics transceiver, make sure to replace it with a new one.
Before replacing the telematics transceiver, refer to Service Bulletin.
Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 10 seconds or more.
Clear the DTCs.
Check for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.
No DTCs are output.

Remove the map light sub-assembly (emergency call switch).
Connect 2 dry-cell batteries (1.5 V each) in series.
Connect a positive (+) lead from batteries to terminal 10 (IND2) and a negative (-) lead to terminal 14 (GND3) of the map light sub-assembly (emergency call switch) connector.
Check if the emergency call switch indicator (green) comes on.
Emergency call switch indicator (green) illuminates.

Disconnect the G131 telematics transceiver connector.
Disconnect the P24 map light sub-assembly (emergency call switch) connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
