The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives remote control signals from the driver door key cylinder or wireless transmitter. Then, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) activates the power window motor and sends the remote control signals to the sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly [sliding roof]) via LIN communication. The sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly [sliding roof]) receives the signals and activates the sliding motor.
The panoramic moon roof key-linked function and panoramic moon roof wireless transmitter-linked function are operative when the power window customize settings "Door Key P/W Up", "Door Key P/W Down", "P/W Up W/Transmit" and "P/W Down W/Transmit" are set to "ON" using the GTS. (The default setting of each is "OFF".)
If the sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly [sliding roof]) or roof sunshade ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly [roof sunshade]) is removed and reinstalled or replaced, the sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly [sliding roof]) must be initialized.
The panoramic moon roof system uses the CAN and LIN communication systems. First, confirm that there are no malfunctions in the CAN and LIN communication systems. Refer to How to Proceed with Troubleshooting.
If a sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly [sliding roof]) or roof sunshade ECU (sliding roof drive gear assembly [roof sunshade]) DTC is output, perform troubleshooting for the DTC first.
Check the key-linked and wireless transmitter-linked functions.
